〈子会社情報〉アオバ、国際バカロレア 中等教育プログラム（MYP）候補校に認定

アオバジャパン・インターナショナルスクール（所在地：東京都練馬区、以下A-JIS）は、2014年9月1日をもって、国際バカロレア機構（IBO）より国際バカロレア 中等教育プログラム（MYP）の候補校に認定されることが決定いたしましたのでお知らせいたします。なお、今回の認定をもって、A-JISは国際バカロレアの初等教育プログラム（PYP）、中等教育プログラム（MYP）、ディプロマ資格プログラム（DP）全ての候補校となりました。

Aoba-Japan International School （Located in Nerima ward, Tokyo. "A-JIS"） would like to announce that their middle school will be recognized as an International Baccalaureate candidate school for the Middle Years Programme (MYP) as of September 1, 2014. A-JIS will now be a candidate school for all three of the Internatioanal Baccalaureate Programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), and the Diploma Programme (DP).


国際的な大学受験資格として広く知られるようになっている国際バカロレアとは、スイスを本部とする国際バカロレア機構（IBO）が、インターナショナルスクールの卒業生に国際的に認められる大学入学資格を与えるために発足した教育プログラムです。3歳～19歳までの学生を対象とし、年齢に応じた3つのプログラムで構成、急速にグローバル化が進む現代社会で求められている主体性や自ら考える力を身に着けられるように設計されています。 A-JISでは、これら3つすべての国際バカロレアプログラムの導入を目指し、カリキュラムの見直しなどを積極的に行っております。プログラム導入により、卒業生は国際的に通用する大学受験資格を獲得できるだけでなく、より広い視野で物事をとらえ、自ら主体的に考えて状況を切り拓いていく力を身に着けることもできます。また、グローバルな視点を養うことで、表現力やコミュニケーション能力などを高める効果も期待されます。

A-JISは、国際バカロレアプログラムの導入を目指すことによって、グローバル人材教育を柱とした大学・大学院を運営する親会社ビジネス・ブレークスルー（以下、BBT）と共に、未来のグローバルリーダーの育成に向けて今後も尽力していく所存です。国際的に認められたプログラムに基づいた世界標準レベルの教育を提供することで、本校卒業生が日本だけでなく世界中の大学という選択肢の中から自分の個性や可能性を最大限に生かすことのできる進路を選択できるようサポートしたいと考えています。また、一歳半から高校まで の一貫教育を通じて、21世紀の世界社会において豊かで充実した人生を自らの手でつかみとることのできる、自立した人材の育成に邁進して参ります。


The International Baccalaureate, widely recognized internationally as a qualification for university applications, is an education programme initiated by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) (headquartered in Switzerland). It provides students graduating from international schools an internationally recognized qualification that allows them to apply to universities around the world. The programme is for students aged 3 to 19, and consists of 3 parts: the Primary Years Programme, the Middle Years Programme, and the Diploma Programme. The programs are founded on the premise of student-centered inquiry-based learning intended to promote the critical thinking and collaborative learning skills that are core to success in our rapidly globalizing society. A-JIS aims to introduce all three of the IB programs and is currently and actively revising its curriculum to accommodate each in succession. By introducing the IB Programme in full, graduates of A-JIS will not only be able to obtain internationally recognized qualification for university applications, but will also acquire the skills to understand issues from broader perspectives. They will gain greater ability to think independently in a variety of situations. By fostering global perspectives, students' abilities to present and communicate their ideas will be enhanced

By introducing the programmes to become an IB World School, it is the goal of A-JIS and its parent company Business Breakthrough, Inc. (BBT) to create a learning environment that fosters global leaders (BBT operates a university and graduate school. Its mission is to train globally-minded individuals). By providing an internationally recognized program, A-JIS wishes to support students in their pursuit to enter universities, not only in Japan but around the world. The goal is to allow students access to places that maximize their potential and individuality. By providing a coherent program from the age of 18 months through high school graduation, A-JIS is determined to further its objective in fostering independent and talented people who realize rich and fulfilling lives in the global society of the 21st century.



アオバジャパン・インターナショナルスクールは、国際バカロレア（IB）「初等教育プログラム」（PYP）、「中等教育プログラム」（MYP）、「ディプロマプログラム」（DP）の候補校（※）です。
本校はIBワールドスクール（IB認定校）としての認定に向けた申請段階にあります。このIBワールドスクールとは、「質の高い、チャレンジに満ちた国際教育に信念をもって取り組むことにコミットする」という理念を共有する学校です。アオバジャパン・インターナショナルスクールも、このような教育に取り組むことが、生徒にとって重要なことであると信じています。

※IBの「初等教育プログラム」（PYP）、「中等教育プログラム」（MYP）、「ディプロマプログラム」（DP）の3つのプログラム（および「IBキャリア関連サーティフィケイト」）を実施することができるのは、国際バカロレア機構に認定された学校のみです。候補校であることは、IBワールドスクールとして認定されることを保障するものではありません。
