アオバ、ＩＢ全プログラム認定校に決定

株式会社ビジネス・ブレークスルー（所在地：東京都千代田区、代表取締役：大前研一、以下BBT）の子会社である株式会社アオバインターナショナルエデュケイショナルシステムズ（所在地：東京都練馬区、代表取締役：柴田巌）が運営する「アオバジャパン・インターナショナルスクール（所在地：東京都練馬区、以下AJIS）」は、2016年９月６日、国際バカロレア機構（IBO）より国際バカロレア　ミドル・イヤーズ・プログラム（MYP）の認定校として承認されました。

AJISは、2015年６月26日に国際バカロレアＤＰ課程の、また、同年７月27日にＰＹＰ課程の公式認定校として承認されています。今回のMYP承認により、初等部（ＰＹＰ）、中等部（ＭＹＰ）、高等部（ＤＰ）の全課程においてＩＢ教育を提供できる体制が整いました。AJISは東京都で2校目（日本で５校目※1）のＩＢ全プログラム認定校となります。

Aoba-Japan International School (A-JIS), located in Nerima ward, Tokyo, would like to announce that as of September 6th, 2016, our middle school has been authorized as an IB World School for the Middle Years Programme (MYP).

Since its high school was already authorized for DP on June 26th 2015 and its kindergarten and primary school were already authorized for PYP on July 27th 2015, A-JIS is now an IB World School for all ages (PYP, MYP, and DP). A-JIS is the 2nd school in Tokyo (the 5th in Japan ) which can offer the IB programmes for all students.


同時に、AJISの子会社である「JCQバイリンガル幼児園」、「Summerhill International School」も、既にPYP候補校となり、PYPの認証取得中です。今後もAJISグループの全キャンパスにおいて、IB教育の認証取得と実践を推進いたします。

BBTは、「世界で活躍できるグローバルリーダーの育成」をミッションにかかげ、オンライン教育のパイオニアとして「いつでも、どこでも、一生涯学び続けられる」学習環境を提供する為に、独自でEラーニング・プラットフォーム（AirCampus®）と教育・講義コンテンツ（10,000時間超）を開発し続けています。BBT大学では、日本初の100％オンラインによるMBAコース（経営学研究科）や経営学士コース（経営学部）を提供する一方、オープンカレッジ講座においてグローバル社会に必須である論理的思考力、問題解決力、リーダーシップ、実践的ビジネス英語力等を養成するプログラムを提供し、過去20年間に渡りマネジメント教育を変革しつづけています。

今後BBTとAJISは、AJISのIB教育のノウハウをプラットフォーム化し、グローバル教育に関心を持つ教育機関と共有する事により、国内のIB教育の普及と教育のグローバル化を支援したいと考えています。また、文部科学省が推進する国内のIB認定校を200校に増加する施策の一助になればと考えます。そのために、上記プラットフォームを活用してIB認定を目指す教育機関の教員に必要となる教育や支援を行い、ＩＢ認定校増に貢献していく所存です。BBTはこうした活動を通じて、教育におけるポジティブな変革を実現する事を目指しています。

国際的な大学受験資格として広く知られる国際バカロレアとは、スイスを本部とする国際バカロレア機構（ＩＢＯ）が、インターナショナルスクールの卒業生に国際的に認められる大学入学資格を与えるために1968年に発足した教育プログラムです。３歳～19歳を対象とし、年齢に応じた３つのプログラムで構成され、急速にグローバル化が進む現代社会に求められる主体性や、自ら考え判断する力を習得するよう設計されています。ＩＢ認定校を卒業しディプロマ（DP）学位を取得した学生は、日本を含む世界の主要な大学の受験資格を得ることができます。

今回承認されたMYPは、６年生から10年生までを主な対象とし、既にAJISで導入しているＰＹＰ、ＤＰと同様に、生徒が本来兼ね備えている人間としての能力をさらに伸ばす全人教育プログラムです。AJISでは、これらのIBプログラムの推進を通じて、学術面の成功だけでなく、人間関係の構築や他者との協調や多様性の受容、アントレプレナーシップやイノベーションを起こす素養なども習得し、ローカルでもグローバルでも活躍できる人材を育成してまいります。
